Missing girl's father describes 'suspicious' letter

The father of Elizabeth Smart, the 14-year-old girl who was abducted from her bedroom last month, said Wednesday he has received an anonymous letter indicating someone wants to negotiate the girl's release.

This case has a distinct odor, and none too pleasant a one at that.
